About the Role
You will perform MIG and TIG welding on heavy steel and aluminum components for the construction, automotive, and shipbuilding industries. Your responsibilities will include inspecting completed welds for defects, maintaining welding equipment in good working order, and strictly following all safety protocols. You will work in a modern manufacturing facility with high production standards.
Weekly Salary: $1,600 NZD (approximately $970 USD)
Employer Support: Full package including flight ticket, private accommodation.
Requirements
You must hold IWS certification or an equivalent welding qualification. A minimum of 2 years of practical experience with MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum is required. You need to be able to read technical blueprints and interpret welding symbols accurately. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment is essential. Basic English is acceptable.
